Pump help!

I'm at my wits end.
I have a Sta-Rite Max e flow 2hp. It's a little over a year old.

It was humming and frozen so I disassembled and replaced bearings and capacitor. Still humming and frozen shaft when power starts. When power is off the shaft spins free and smooth. When I try and spin it when we kick on power it's practically frozen solid.

What am I doing wrong?

It sounds like either one of the bell ends isn't seated in the bosses correctly or maybe something is wrong with the shaft.

Double check that you wired it right - sounds like the two phases of 220 are cancelling each other out somehow. Or take the whole motor to an electric shop and let them check for shorted windings or something.
