negative reading on an aquatrol reads zero

I have an aquatrol with a t cell 15. everything seems fine but my instant salininty reading keeps going to 0. if I superclorinate it will read a correct number. my salt level is fine but I just don't understand why it wont give me a reading. water temp is 70 f this is only my second season with a pool if this is an issue could someone shed some light on it for me thanks

If I remember correctly, the instant salt reading is only valid when the cell happens to be powered on at that moment. Putting the unit in super chlorinate mode guarantees that the cell is on.
