AGP vacuum hose circumference / skimmer port circumference ?

I have hard plumbed 1 1/2" PVC and instead of the Intex fittings we used these

It's my understand (maybe wrong) that Wanda the Whale / Diver Dan uses standard size vacuum hoses & the hose is made to fit into the skimmer (hence the cone it comes with)

That's all well & great except we don't have a thru-the-wall skimmer so I'm trying to find something that will screw into the Hayward 1 1/2" fitting and will also fit inside the vacuum hose (to keep the suction strong).

I have been unable to find anything that states the circumference of the vacuum hose ... anyone know what this is?

So far, I have come up with using this http://www.poolproducts4less.com/swimmi ... -hose.html

but it seems the hose it going to stop here and even with a clamp I'll lose lots of suction.

Thoughts / suggestions ?

I use one of these on my DiverDan and the standard Hayward segmented hoses. The last hose has a special fitting for attach to cleaner body (Dan/Dave?). I have not used a standard vacuum hose with my bots but I thought the bot needed a rigid (non-rotating) cuff to allow it to turn in the pool. I know my hose gets a little twisted and tight is I run it for several hours.

I forgot... this cone adapts the hose to bottom of my skimmer. It would also likely seal up with that fitting you have in your pool.
