    I had to add acid to bring down ph. how long do we need to wait to swim?

    Just a few minutes. If you poured it into the return stream, it dispersed pretty quickly, and some bodies thrashing around in the water will do an even better job.

    Give it a few minutes to circulate (with pump on, of course). Go swimming after that.
