I've run mine 24/7/365 for the last 7 or 8 years and it ran 24/7 during the "season" before that. In the 12 years I've owned it I had to replace the pump motor once, but that was because I let centipede grass grow into the cooling passages of the motor and it got too hot. I also had to replace the front bearings in the motor a couple of years ago due to a leaking seal, and replaced the starting capacitor once several years ago.
