    Chlorine Dispensers?

The PB has a chlorine dispenser as part of the equipment for our build in a couple weeks. I'm thinking of having him remove it and credit me the $ for something else such as a Stenner pump. Any reason why I should keep the dispenser?

The only reason might be to use trichlor pucks when taking vacations, but a $10 floater will work good enough for that.

But if you have a stunner pump...every day it auto pumps chlorine...no need for dispenser on vacation.

Tablet feeders are not that expensive, you cant get a perfectly adequate one for $50 and frankly find them more practical than floaters for a few reasons, but I suppose it depends on the pool.

If you're building a gunite pool the acidic tabs will be particularly more useful than straight chlorine (at the beginning) but that's just another angle to view things from... to each his own I suppose

It is just my experience that pumps and such can go wrong during a vacation, floaters are about foolproof

Yep I agree, pumps can fail...but so can SWG's fail as well. I guess there is no 100% foolproof method, it is all about what you are comfortable with.
