Hi everyone,
I just had my pump go out. It a Hayward super pump 1.5hp prob around 20yrs old. I have 1.5inch lines and a pressure of 18psi. My pool size is 20x40 w average depth of 5-5.5ft. 30-35,000 gallons I think.? My question is to which pump would be a better suite for replacement. I'm looking at the pentair superflo 1in and 1.5in. My budget is less than 500$ and was wondering if these were my best choices for the price and efficiency? I would like to keep the electric bill down as much as possible so if I could get by with a 1hp that would be great. I figured the superflow 1hp would have equal or greater flow than the old 1.5hp hayward.
Thanks Matt
