    Strawberry Pretzel Dessert-great for summer!!

    Crust:

2 cups crushed pretzels, not too fine
    1-1/2 stick butter, melted
    3 T. sugar

Mix ingredients and pat in bottom of 9 x 13 pan Bake 400 for 5-8 min. Cool

    Filling:

    8 oz. cream cheese. softened
    1/2 cup sugar
    8 oz. cool whip

Beat cream cheese and sugar till fluffy. Fold in cool whip. Spread on cooled crust. Refrigerate.

    Topping:

2 -3 oz. boxes or 1- 6 oz. box strawberry jello.
2-10 oz. boxes sliced frozen strawberries
    2 cups boiling water

Dissolve jello in water. Stir in frozen strawberries until strawberries thaw. Let set until mixture starts to thicken. Pour over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate till set, and completely chilled.

This is so delicious because of the combination of the salty and the sweet. Enjoy!

I've made this a few times. My recipe calls for less water in the jello mixture....i'll have to check it.

Always a hit at the potlucks/buffets....

    RE: Strawberry pretzel dessert,

    To frustratedpoolmom,

Each 3 oz. box of jello would use 1 cup water making the total 2 cups. But if you are using less and your recipe works, good for you!!!!! I haven't made this in a while, but since I typed the recipe I'm getting a craving. Carolyn

To Kim, let us know how you like it.
