    BORATES INFO?

    Is there a summary or article on Borates on the forum? If so, I can't find it. I have a gap of knowlege on Borates and their source. I assume they are produced by adding "Borax" but not sure how the affects of adding them have on PH,TA, etc.

    All I found was this

    BORATES
    Borates can optionally be added to the pool to help control algae, reduce chlorine usage, buffer PH, and improve the look and feel of the water. The process of adding borates to your pool is beyond the scope of this article.
