Anyone been using the new iBall variable returns lately?

What is the point? There isn't a problem here that actually needs solving. There is no need for the return fittings to vary on their own as a fixed fitting works perfectly well. Setup your pump for the lowest speed that works with your skimmers, heater, and SWG, and then adjust your return fittings to provide whatever water velocity is required and you are done.
 
some heaters are set to only operate at 30gpm+, while a pool running 24 hours may only need a flow of 15-20GPM . So you filter at one speed, then heat at another...you'd save in your electrical costs. Law of Affinity.....
