Just curious is anymore data is out there for the iBall variable return, or if anyone new has had a shot at trying them out.....
Anyone been using the new iBall variable returns lately?

I've never heard of anyone actually installing them. While very entertaining, it doesn't seem all that useful.
What is the point? There isn't a problem here that actually needs solving. There is no need for the return fittings to vary on their own as a fixed fitting works perfectly well. Setup your pump for the lowest speed that works with your skimmers, heater, and SWG, and then adjust your return fittings to provide whatever water velocity is required and you are done.
some heaters are set to only operate at 30gpm+, while a pool running 24 hours may only need a flow of 15-20GPM . So you filter at one speed, then heat at another...you'd save in your electrical costs. Law of Affinity.....
Sure, varying the pump speed is great. But how is that connected to varying the return jets? It isn't difficult to setup fixed returns that will work fine at both 15 GPM and 30 GPM.
