Gap between pool and coping wide

I need to replace the caulking between the pool cement deck and coping but the gap has gotten pretty wide over the years. My pool guy said we should use a non-leveling caulking but everything I read has a pretty narrow maximum opening. Would deck-o-seal fill a gap about an 1" - 1 1/4 wide? If not does anyone know what will? Should we go for non-sag or self leveling and why? Thanks for you responses!

I would get a couple of pool refinishers out to give you ideas and bids.

I think you may need to redo the coping.

To me there appears to be a design flaw in that the coping and deck move separately not together

Someone familiar with local construction practices needs to take look.

I would look at Sikaflex SL. You can get in a slate grey or add a color pak if you wan to try to make it disappear a little. It's self leveling and will do an inch wide gap no problem . You should be able to get it at most concrete suppliers. Lowes carries the tubes but only in gray, the pails are cheaper .
