    No. Only a problem if it's too high (over 400 or so)

    My tester is a 3 way by taylor i take a sample of the water once a month to the pool store
    is it my calcium that i only need to add if it is over 400?

    You need zero CH in a vinyl pool. Whatever it is now, don't add any more!

    However, if it's over 400 then you need to drain some water to get rid of it!

    thanks, they told me at the pool store the first time i tested i need the hardness. havent added in about a month almost out and
    not sure if i needed to buy anymore.....
