Just getting started...pulled off cover

Hi,
Just taken off my pool cover. The pool was filthy, but after putting in shock, the pool is looking a lot better but cloudy. Any ideas what's causing this and what can be done to make it clear.

I'd suggest ordering a good test kit ( http://tftestkits.net/splash-page.html )and reading "Pool School" while you wait for it to arrive. pool-school/
Once you get your kit you can find out where you stand then go from there.

I filthy green pool when under going the *shock process* will turn cloudy as the chlorine kills the algae. Pool School is the button at the top right of every page. It is there to help educate you on everything about your pool, the chemistry and filtration. As mentioned already, it is highly recommended that you purchase a good test kit so you can take control of your pool.
