Hi,

I need help.

We live in Hong Kong and own a semi inground salt pool.

It is approx 5000 gallons
Waterway F12 D.E filter
SSC25 salt chlorinator

We dont have anyone that can help us maintain our pool so its all cloak and daggers for me.

1.Could anyone recommend a electronic salt water tester please.

2.Can anyone tell me how long i should run my filter and chlorinator(inc percentage) daily.

Temperatures during summer low/mid 30s and 90-95% humidity.

Best Regards

Hong Kong

Welcome to TFP.

I can't recommend an electronic salt tester. Refractometers aren't very popular with residential users over here.

The length of time and the percentage you need to run the swg is based on the needs of the individual pool. I'd start with about 8 hours run time at 50% output of the swg and test the FC and adjust from there.

There's a good article in Pool School on how to set the pump run time.
