We have been trying to clear a serious algae bloom due to the pool not being closed properly last fall. This is an inherited pool and we are rather new. We have gone through the shock process. FC holding overnight. PH, etc, all good according to our TF100 test kit. The water was not clearing as fast as we hoped and was kind of milky white. We read that DE could be added to the sand filter to clear faster. What we did not know is that 3 different family members added DE to the filter. Thus, WAY too much was added. Now pool is blue but VERY cloudy and bottom feels sandy. Again, all readings in range. I assume that the DE ended up in our pool. Is there a way to get it out??? Please help!

Hi, welcome to TFP! You should be able to vacuum it up, then backwash the filter to clean it out.
