well i filtered 2 days 24 hrs a days with very little success. so i pumped about 2 1/2 feet out and now filling back up. maybe this will help me clear it up.
What would cause phosfloc not to fall to the bottom

Welcome to TFP! Can you please update your signature with your pool specs so we know what kind of pool you have along with equipment. And while you are there, could you also add your location to your signature. It helps to give you better advice if we know where you're from and what you have without having to harrass you for the info. 
i recently changed sand and checked it out. it looks larger than the sand that i replaced. the sand i used was quickrete 20/40. i don't no what size i had to start with. i did compare them and the sand i replaced looks smaller.
