Just wanted to say hello to everyone and thanks for all the information. I've been watching the site for about a year, reading pool school and learning all I can. Just filled my pool yesterday and I have to admit BBB is the best.
After filling I added enough cya in a sock to bring it up to 30 and enough bleach to bring FC to 6.
Yesterday evening test results were:
FC 6
CC 0
pH best guess 6.5 was too low for the test kit
TA 80
CH did not test
CYA still in the sock
This evenings test
FC 6
CC 0
pH 6.8
TA 80
CH didn't test
CYA 30
Need to add some soda ash or borax to bring up pH and TA. The water is crystal clear.
