    Drain plug... plastic or copper?

What is the difference between using a copper drain plug for the pump or a plastic drain plug?

Cost is probably the biggest difference. Chemical resistance has to be considered too.

So plastic is the best option? Since maybe copper will interfere with the chemicals?

On a pool pump it doesn't really matter but I'd opt for the plastic.
