Water level height

after the 4+ inches of rain we received the past few days, i have noticed that the water level of my inground is very high. Are there any issues if i have the level too high? Thanks

IMHO, I would leave it and let it evaporate off or let the kids splash it out.

Looks like the skimmer has just a little air between the surface and the skimmer mouth for surface debris.

I was under the impression that if overly filled that the skimmer would not be as effective? Conversely, too low and it can suck air in to the lines. My PB told me that ideally keep the water level in the middle of the skimmer but perhaps that is just how it works on my pool and YMMV.
