    do i have a leak?

I just installed the my 12x28 aloha II fiberglass pool. Pentair 320 cartridge filter, 1 hp Pentair dual speed motor. I am losing at least a 1/2 of water per day from my pool. I live in Arizona and its been around 115 degrees out here. is this normal evaporation? I am going to do the bucket test on it. however I am looking for some insight as well.

Normal evaporation is going to be less than an inch of water per day even in most dry hot climates

1/2 inch is probably normal given your conditions. Let the bucket test prove or disprove that to you.
