What kind of testing kit is recommended

What kind of testing kit is recommended to test for all these components? We've never had all these "supplements" recommended to be tested.

    Welcome to tfp, rowdy1

See this pool school article: http://www.troublefreepool.com/pool-...kit_comparison Many of us use the tf-100 since it is the best value (user duraleigh, the seller of that kit also owns this forum).
TFP Expert who uses Pool School and my TF100 test kit along with PoolMath for my: Round 11K gallon AGP with deep end, 20" sand filter, Matrix 1hp 2spd, 6 2ftX20ft solar panels (and solar cover!), Intex SWCG (copper bars disconnected) and a Rubadub hot tub (chlorine). The SLAM process is not finished until: 1. CC < 0.5 ppm, 2. An OCLT < 1.0 ppm and, 3. The water is crystal clear.

    Welcome to the forum

Having one of the recommended test kits will put you in charge of your pool.

You might want to also want to add a speed stir to your list. It makes testing easier and faster. I haven't heard anyone say that they did not like using it!

    You're done SLAMing when:
    1)You lose 1ppm or less FC overnight, & 2)You have .5ppm CC's or less, & 3)your water is clear.

+1 with the speed stir. I recommend the TF100 kit.

Thanks for the replies. I am trying to adjust to this type of forum and apologize if this is repetitive. There isn't a detailed "search" function and looking through 67 pages of topics is well...tedious. Thanks again.

If you look at the lower left of each page you'll see a Google search function. It works better than the forum search.
