Quick question here... The switch that controls my pump is bad. It is a 20 amp, two pole Bryant switch.

Do I need to replace it with anything special, Does it need to be outdoor rated commercial industrial anything like that? Or can I just use a 20 amp two pole switch I have lying around?

It is a Carlon outdoor enclosure. One of the switches went bad. Home Depot didn't have anything better than what I had...a Leviton 2 pole

Go to an electrical supply with the old one.

Sorry to be a geek about it, but there are times when "making do" is appropriate, and even preferred an efficient.

Two times it is NOT appropriate, are regarding electricity, especially near a body if water. The other is natural gas. :)
