    TS Andrea

With tropical storm Andrea dumping tons of rain, is there anything wrong with letting the pool overflow rather than going out in the pouring rain and draining some water out? Its our first year with this pool and i don't want to break anything.

You would be far wiser to dump it out. Overflow is your call but generally the water doesn't go where you want it.

I had my pump on to "waste" for 45 minutes to get it back to normal today 45 minutes @ 80 gpm is a lot of water and it looks like I might need to do another short session in an hour or so.

Good call. Otherwise it will find the lowest point on the rim and spill there, which will wash out the ground right there, which will make the pool sink, so even more water pours out there, which will... you get the picture.
