Yes. I'd get some sequestrant in there too (and remember to add the maintenance doses) so you can have nice clear blue water. That way you'll be able to detect an algae bloom without mistaking it for the metals.
sure, you can swim now, the sequestrant will just force the metals to go back into solution so they don't tint the water, it doesn't actually remove them.
