Background:
New pool owner, pool is about 30 yrs old. We used a pool service company to close (moved in at end of season) and open the pool and I would like to manage the pool going forward. Unfortunately, I was unsure of the exact chemicals and amounts used to open the pool on 6/1.

Maintenance sheet from pool company on 6/1:
FC: 3
pH: 8+
Alkalinity: 120
Hardness: 260
Stabilizer: 30

Chemicals added (as noted on maintenance sheet):
liquid chlorine: 5 gal
pH Descreaser: 2 gal
DE: 6 lbs

On 6/4, used kit to determine presence of chlorine (1 FC & 1.5 CC) and pH (6.8). I added Borax and bleach according to the calculator to get a Shock FC = 10 and pH of 7.4. Unfortunately, I fell asleep before I could measure the chlorine.

This mornings readings using TFT100:
FC: 2.5
CC: 3.0
TC: 5.5
pH: 7.4
TA: 110
CH: 340
CYA: <20

Based on these readings, I need to shock the pool (bleach) and perform the OCLT test. When should I add CYA? BTW, the pool water is clear and blue, not much different from when the cover was removed.
