my PB is about to seal the limestone rock around our spa and travertine coping around our pool. he suggested not sealing the rock on and under the spillway of the spa. we are going back and forth on whether to do SWG or BBB, and the rock we chose is a limestone from Iowa.

any advice will help!

My pool builder designed and built my pool as a salt pool. Based on his recommendations we used no stone of any kind. All stone can be be damaged by salt water. Some more than others, and some quicker than others. Texas limestone is subject to salt degrading it. I've seen limestone erode and watched flagstone flake and fall apart after six or seven years exposure in neighbor's SWG pools.

When my pool was built the PB said stone or salt, you can have either, but not both. I picked salt.
