We started our pump for first time this year last night. We noticed the psi was at 44psi when usually we run at start up 12psi very odd. Did a backwash, rinse cycle psi no change. Thought we would just check on it later and blew a 10 ft water spout shortly thereafter. One of the hoses blew off. We have an old hayward sand filter. Checked all parts and added new sand to top off this year. Last year replaced all sand. Any ideas for us on the psi being so high? Should we start with changing the guage?
