We are paying for a 16 by 32 foot pool. I thought I understood that builders measure 6 inches more to take in account for the gunite. My builder is telling me I will actually get a 15 foot pool and I am not real happy. My husband is out of town so I feel stuck. Please advise

6 inches on each side = 1 foot overall lesser dimension.

The inside dimension of my pool is exactly 18' by 43' which is what we contracted for.
I'd ask what the extra will be to have it really be 16' x 32'.
This seems like a misunderstanding between the two of you, or maybe just not a very clear discription from the pool builder prior to signing contract.

Pool builder was very understanding and wanted us to be happy (we offered to pay for the extra foot and he said no). Thank you for the suggestions.
