Intex Krystal clear 633t upgrade options?

We are currently leveling our backyard for an Intex 26 x 52. I am getting ahead of myself I know but would like some opinions/experience stories of the pump & filter that came with the pool when we bought it. It's a Krystal Clear model 633T. So we're going to have to buy a bunch of those filter cartridges since it says change that every two weeks. What I'd like to know is if this pump is ok or are there upgrades that we could consider. Maybe something in the sand filter line? I'm just curious about it.

I recommend switching to the intex sand filter,it's more powerfull then those cartridge filter

We have the intex pool also we went out and bought the Krystl klear filter and we also run the salt water generator with it. It's in my signature but the pump will be changing my hubby some how fried the motor in the pump

Does the 1600 sand filter work really good on that size of pool??

Mine is 15x48" and i went i had i bought the 2650 gph to be sure i have the most water flow

We have a 16 x 48 and quickly realized that the small cartridge filter that came with our pool was not going to cut it. We have the 2650 sand filter and love it!!

Actually the first year with the pool we used 2x1000gph and in the begining was it okay but once the whole pool became green i tried to vacuum the dead algea only to realize that everything was coming back in to the pool via the return, that's why this year i bouht the 2650
