Any suggestions on how long we should run our pumps

I am trying to find the sweet spot with my new vs pump in SoCal.

I initially set the pump to run at 1000 rpm for 8hrs and 2400 rpm for 1hr for skimming. Doesn't seem too be enough circulation as I am fighting algae. Cost savings are dramatic though reducing my overall bill by 1/3.

Any suggestions on how long we should run our pumps to get good circulation and keep the pool good and clear?

If you are fighting algae, you need to be running the pump 24/7 and going through the Shock Process (link in my sig). Once you clear the pool of algae, you can try using these guidelines to help determine the run time sweet spot: Determine Pump Run Time
