Im helping my brother open his new pool built in 2012. This is the first year opening the pool. We have removed all my plugs and gizmos. Tightened all the drain plugs in the pump and filter and primed the pump with water and tried to get it going. Pumps pulls hard for 5 seconds and then looses all pressure. Tried it again but only open the intakes value from the skimmer have way. We were able to get it running, but as soon as We open up the in take valve from the skimmer to 100%, We loose all pressure and have to start over. With the value open 50% We can keep,her running at 10 lbs pressure. I checked the impeller for obstructions and double checked all valves and jointsmfor leaks I'm fearful theres a leak under the new concrete patio
however I had no problems last year
