    Adjust PH first or TA?

    Hello,

I use BBB with the additon of pucks. Currently my PH and TA are a little low. Which should I adjust first? Or does it matter?

    Thanks!!

What are the actual numbers? You "little low" might in fact be "just right"

    You're done SLAMing when:
    1)You lose 1ppm or less FC overnight, & 2)You have .5ppm CC's or less, & 3)your water is clear.

pH is fine, but that TA is a little low.

Since you are apparently partially using pucks (how high is your CYA?), I would raise the TA up to 100ppm or so with baking soda. Then recheck the TA and pH.

    Thanks for the quick replies!!!

My CYA is 32, I don't use the pucks much. I'll adjust the TA to 100 with baking soda then recheck both TA and PH..

Thank you again for always being so quick on the responses!! Love TFP!!

Oh, well if you do not constantly use pucks, you may not want the TA quite that high then ... maybe 80-90ppm
