I am in the process of lowering my TA although it hasn't moved much over the last week. I have been following the directions of the Taylor acid demand test. Today I plugged in all my numbers into the pool calculator and it gave me different results than Taylor. Taylor says add 1.72 qts. Of acid and pool calc. Says add 2.6 qts. Is that because of the high TA that is present and Taylor's doesn't factor that or am I doing something wrong. I want to drop from 7.8 to 7.2 then raise PH back up by aerating the water. What do you all think? Thanks. Oh yeah I'm also gonna add more cya to bring it up to 80.
