We had 0 CYA after doing a major refill this spring. Hubby, wanting to be helpful, :-D added the 3 lbs of HTH stabilizer directly, slowly into the skimmer. So I know we shouldn't backwash for a week, but will that do any harm? And can I assume that it is in the water now?

Assume it is in the water and you are correct, now wait at least a week to clean the filter ... SO can be so helpful can't they
