    Sand vs Cartridge Filters?

    Are there an advantages of one versus the other. Ordering the pool Saturday and wanted any last minute advice or opinions.
    12x24 Doughboy. 8700 gallons~ 2 HP Dyanmo Pump~ 26" Sand Dollar Filter~TF 100 test kit~ Zodiac Ranger AGP automatic cleaner.

    I like sand filters sand will last 5+ years vs expensive cartridge filters plus to clean the sand filter all you have to do is backwash and rinse no taking it apart like a cartridge filter....less maintenance.....Mike
