Hi Everyone

I have a 16x32 in ground chlorine pool that I am trying to open myself for the first time by myself. I have a micro-volt gas heater (big pain) that I have been running myself.

I look forward to helping anyone else I can and hopefully picking your brains! Time to search the archives! :)

Thanks Everyone!

So far initial shocking, first dose anti-algae, and leaf debris almost gone!

What is/don't need the anti-algae. And, if it contains copper, we def do not recommend it.

Have you read our directions for shocking the pool? See Pool School, big white button, top right of each page :)

Welcome!

The single best thing you can do for yourself is get a proper test kit if you don't already have one. Read the comparison article in Pool School.

Thanks Richard-

I purchased the TF-100 test kit, with some kind of "XL" version. I will be learning it this weekend! I think tonight, after the kids are in bed, I will be trying it out.

I will be sure to post my results here!
