    just a hello!

i live in louisville ky, and am on my 3rd year of intex pools. prior years were the inflatable ring style, but after the cats popped the ring too many times, we are going to a 14x42 ultra. so nice to have a 'real' pool! it's really very similar to the metal side pools my folks had when i was a kid.. one day we'll get to the coveted in-ground! looking forward to advice and tips, i've been lurking a bit already. i did notice a leak in the seam of the new pool, while waiting on a replacement liner, i'm going to follow a few patch tricks.

    You're done SLAMing when:
    1)You lose 1ppm or less FC overnight, & 2)You have .5ppm CC's or less, & 3)your water is clear.

Troublefree does not mean Maintenancefree. It's like brushing your teeth: You can spend a couple minutes a day and pennies a week or go to the dentist once a year and spend several thousand dollars.
A pool is like a pet - you have to feed it every day, even the days you don't want to play with it!
