Hi, everyone,
I am a new owner of a swimming pool. Since opening, water is clear now. Here is the test results.

FC: 2
CC: 8
PH: 7.5
TA: 190
CA: 480
CYA: 0

What should I do to reduce CC? I already added 7 bottle of 8.25% bleach and 5 lbs of chlorine power. Pool is clear, but not very blue. Is there anything I should do to make water right? By the way, we are using well water.

Thanks.

I added 4lb of stabilizer. Here are test results

FC: 3
CC: 10.5
PH: 7.2
TA: 160
CA: 450
CYA: 30

Now, what is next? How much bleach I need to add? I added 2 bottles of 8.25% bleach, FC only increased 2ppm. According to Pool calculator, I should get 10ppm. Water is crystal clear and blue. Why is CC still so high?

You need to "shock" the pool in order to get rid of the CC, and by shock I don't mean to go and buy the stuff at the store labeled "pool shock" or anything of the sort.

Follow the instructions in Pool School on how to shock.

Until you do the shock, your CC will remain high and continue to eat up your chlorine too quickly.
