CYA way high

Finally got my test kit. Results as follows:
FC = 37 CC = 0 TC = 37
pH = 7.5
TA 210
CYA (off the scale)
I mixed 10ml pool water with 90ml distilled water, repeated the test. Result was 30 (x10 = 300)

Repeated the all tests with same results.
Plan to remove and replace much of the water. I can probably draw down 2/3rds of the volume of the pool with my lowest intake.
Any reason to not do it this way (removing so much water all at once?)

Leave a ft of water in the shallow end. It's to dangerous to drain any more than that. :goodjob:

Yeah, I think I would remove not much more than 1/3 at a time. If you do the math, the extra water is not really all that much.

Unless you live near a swamp with a VERY high water table, probably a 50% drain is also perfectly safe.
