Pushing on walls

We do whirlpools all the time. The only thing we do is pull the ladder as the whirlpools we do are so strong that they realy torque on the ladder mounts. In fact, it is a rule in my pool to make a small one when everyone is done as it get all of the dirt into the middle and helps make cleaning faster.

We did one on our family vacation in Hawaii a couple of years ago. Marriot had a nice 40' dia inground tile pool. 15 of us "kids" made a whirlpool in it one night. All of the guests thought it was cool. Thought we were going to get in trouble with the manager but, he was pretty impressed too. Said he never saw anything like that before. The next morning there was a nice little pile of sand in the middle which made it easier for the pool guy to clean it. He seemed kind of puzzled as to how that happened.

It's a great resistance exercise! Get the whirl going and then reverse direction!
