CYA at level zero

The last two times I've tested the CYA - it has been zero. I did think of something just now though - I might need to order new chemicals for the season?
Do I need to add CYA to the pool?


I am using the k-2006 Complete (FAS-DPD chlorine) from Taylor.

Water is slightly cloudy, but a lot of pollen had fallen to the pool bottom and the vacuum stirred it up a little. Ph is 7.4, Chlorine is 4.

It's an above ground, round 33ft and I live in North Alabama.

For an outdoor pool you certainly want some CYA in the water.

The CYA test reagent in the K-2006 kit doesn't normally go bad very easily. Taylor does recommend that you replace the reagents every year, but it is common to get two years out of them without problems as long as they are stored at a reasonable temperature and not left out in the sun.
