I'm in the process of putting down a new deck top of 5/4 pressure treated wood. I had 2x4 decking and as the deck aged the screws holding the anchors in place would pull out. With 5/4 wood decking I'm afraid the screws will not hold as well. Any ideas as to how I can reinforce the anchors in this new decking?

Thru bolts with washers on the bottom if it's accessible would be the way to go. If the bottom isn't accessible then I'd use some large aggressive stainless screws.
