testing and dosing with solar cover in place?

With a cold front coming in for a few days (high of 60, low of 40), I put the solar cover on the pool. Will there be any problems with daily testing and adding bleach by just lifting a small flap of the cover and putting it back down when finished, or will I need to take the cover completely off for testing and adding bleach?

Lifting a small flap is fine, I do it for the first month or two after I open.
