New to pool ownership

We recently bought our house and this was our first opening.
I have read through Pool School and have ordered my testing kit.
I went to the pool store to get my levels today
FC- 2.79
PH-7.6
Ch-160
Alk-40
Cya-20
Copper-.31
Iron- .12

The pool is slightly cloudy
We removed the chlorine tabs on Monday from the hayward clorinator that the guy who opened the pool put in on Friday because we believe the dial does not work and is stuck wide open, which I read is a common issue, and we are ready to follow the BBB method.

Any help with the alk and cya levels would be greatly appreciated, and any thing else..

ALK and CYA are easy to adjust.

If the copper test is accurate (what test method did they use) that could be your biggest issue..do you have any dark stains on the pool surfaces?

There is no staining at all!
