Thanks for all the tips that have been posted so far. I'm a first time pool owner and don't have a clue on how to do anything. First thing first is getting it resurfaced waiting for the bids to come in. We've just shocked our pool since we started getting green algae growing after a heavy rain now it feels "slimey"...so I think I will continue reading the board post in search of an answer. Glad TFP is here!

Welcome to TFP!!!Start by reading through Pool School (button at the upper right of the page) ... that will answer just about anything you can think of.
And make sure you order one of the recommended test kits before you pool is refilled.
