A&A Quick Clean in floor system

My QuickClean system has been in since 2005 and worked well till this year. Now the heads will not rotate after each cycle. There are 6 heads in 3 zones. After reading some of the posts above, I now wonder if the inlet valve to the impeller is too direct and somehow keeping the zone valves partly open. I say that because the heads never quite seat all the way flush to the floor and I suspect that is why they are not rotating.
Thoughts?

Can you push them all the way down, then they pop back up? If they are jammed with sand or scale, they won't work well. There's always a little bit of flow from the zones that aren't on, but it shouldn't be enough to keep the heads up. What size pump do you have, and what is your filter pressure?
