Ground-Fault breaker on new pump

Hello,

I'm installing at new Pentair WhisperFlo WFDS-24 pump that will require a 110 Volt 15 Amp breaker.

Do these motors trip Ground-Fault breakers do to leakage in the motor windings, etc., or will they run fine on a Ground-Fault breaker?

Thanks!

I have experience with ground-fault from ancient history; some older motors had a lot of internal leakage and couldn't run on a ground-fault circuit. Same think with older transformers. I'm sure the technology has changed, but just checking.

Only time my GFCI breaker for the pool has tripped was when an underground splice (made long before I ever got there) started letting just enough moisture in from the surrounding dirt to trigger the GFCI.

My (now 10 yr old) pump motor itself has never been an issue
