Random Filter Screen...any clue what it is for and where....

Hello All!
While cleaning up around the filter area I found this random part.

any clue what it may be for and where it should go???
I have a Jandy DEV 60, a Polaris Vac and Pump, an Aquacal Heater and a pool frog in-line chlorinator as well as a Pool pilot digital salt water generator....if that helps

Looks like the union strainer out of the Pool Pilot. It's kinda important that it be in there. I'd check it and see if it's missing.

just checked...that screen is in place and looks good.
this is smaller, about the size of one you'd find in a garden sprinkler.

I knew it looked small but it was worth checking. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
