We did not. We are going with a "sports pool". Viking did not have one. We purchased the montego...14x35.

I didn't see any of the quotes posted. I'm in Austin and interested in a fiberglass pool as well. I'm extremely curious to see what the quotes looked like and the experience with builders, etc.

Devil's advocate - would you still recommend a fiberglass pool after your issues?

Yes I would. Just stay on top of the build process/builder. When they set my pool I told the foreman it seemed very close to a rock (they had to dig through 4 feet of solid rock) but he brushed it off as not an issue since he's been doing this for 20+ years. Obviously he was wrong and ended up having a crack. PB though did work hard to make it right through the repair process and willing to back it all up in writting around issue and warranty.
