Converting to salt water

I'm looking to convert my pool to salt water. It's an above ground about 7000 gallon capacity (pole pool). Filter is cartridge. Not sure what I need to purchase or where exactly to start. Looking to get this all ready prior to opening this year. Any suggestions?

All you really need to do is get yourself a saltwater chlorine generator and some salt. I'm not all that knowledgeable about systems though so I'll leave that to others.

Just looked at this chlorine generator for my pool. Any pros/cons?

They said they last about 3 years for an above ground pool. Is that the average?

Here's my pool specs:

The size of your pool in gallons-6000-7000

Pool is an AG (Pole pool-Two steel poles on either side...dimensions are 18'x12'x52"

The type of filter you have (cartridge)

Size pump in HP (2-4). Also mention if is it a two speed or variable speed pump (I believe it is two speed)

Date of pool build/install (May 2007)
